In a theatre in 1989, Shahnawaz and Zeenat meet as Salman Khan’s Maine Pyar Kyu Kiya plays in the background. The movie does its magic, and the beating hearts meet. The couple has a happy life and a happy family with their two kids, Sallu and Ilmi. Tragedy strikes and Shahnawaz dies of cancer. Now, Zeenat must fulfill his last wish of getting his kids married off. But, just like the star he is named after, Sallu has no interest in getting married.
