Apart from the brand of the “Hate Story”, the movie does not bring up any innovative aspects. The direction is highly blemished, with the story being a conventional one! In addition, the actors do nothing noteworthy in the course of film and end up making the audience drowsy! The cinematography and music does not save the drowning boat either. With too many loopholes enwrapping the film, the movie is an absolute failure.

Vishal Pandya's Hate Story 3 is one of those films that make you wonder exactly what you want to do after watching it. Laugh, cry, tear your hair out. Because after subjecting yourself to this pain in its pure, distilled form, you'd not be left with much energy to do anything. Make no mistake. Hate Story 3 has at its core a proper story. Complete with twists and turns and what not. But the execution is mighty flawed. Added to that is the (non)acting skills of its lead cast. The cast breaks out into song and dance in the blink of an eye, with no rhyme or reason whatsoever. One can probably write an entire epic on the epic lyrics of some of the songs in the film. Sample this: "Teri kissing hai baby killer / Love bite na ban jaaye / Teri neeyat se darti hoon main / Din night na ban jaaye..." from the song Neendein Khul Jaati Hai. Tujhe Apna Banane Ka is the only song that stays with you. There's a scene in the film when the poison Belladonna is mentioned. You might want to ask for a bit of it too. At the end of the day, watch Hate Story 3 only if you want to, and if you've enjoyed the other two films in the franchise.

There is absolutely nothing to fall in love with in Hate Story 3. It is the tale of two very, very crabby men who hate each other with all their guts and hatch silly conspiracies.  Hate Story 3 expectedly wallows in prurient rubbernecking to inveigle its target audience, while pretending to explore the limits of fraternal ties and bonds of friendship. It rides on a string of twists and turns that create neither tension nor menace. Worse, they do not even make sense. Every now and then the film stops dead to make room for steamy sequences staged in swimming pools, smoky nightclubs and, of course, between the sheets, to the accompaniment of raunchy numbers. While the formula employed in the first two films of the franchise is intact here, its impact simply isn’t the same. Bad acting all around compounded by inane writing makes matters infinitely worse. Hate would be a completely wasted emotion here. Do yourself a favour and just ignore Hate Story 3. Yes, Hate Story 3 is that bad.

Zareen Khan, Daisy Shah, slithering lingerie… still more horror than erotica. It tells us that Bollywood’s idea of an ‘erotic thriller’ is still stuck in some dark age template. The men gnash their teeth and growl. The women are all pneumatically curved out to there, allowing the camera to linger. There are bed bits with generous displays of slithering lingerie on chest-and-thigh, and surprisingly for a time when ‘boldness’ is being dealt with by archaic moral standards, lots of open mouth-and-tongue action. Hate, sure. You can understand why someone would detest the person who wrongs them, though it’s hard to take a dialogue like “he’s a cunning vulgar rascal” seriously, and keep a straight face when even someone as competent as Joshi is spouting it. But how about a story?
