This film has an ambitious storyline, but the resultant is not as forthcoming. The film is set in a nondescript village in Punjab. The lot of actors are more or less unrecognizable, so the expectations are low enough for them to measure up. Omkar Das Manikpuri once again re-establishes his stature as a wooden actor- even so director’s still take him on in the hope that the film will sell on his name alone. Even the so called message is quite confounding. Other than the sad-sack humor and silly shtick, this one has little distinction to prop it up beyond the standard run for such fare! Basically, it is a low-brow si-fi caper.
