Varun Dhawan to soon get a wax statue of himself at Madame Tussauds

For many Madame Tussauds, Wax Museum provides the best opportunity to get clicked with their favourite celebrities. Over the years, many Bollywood celebrities have been honoured by having their wax statues installed at various branches of Madame Tussauds.

Amitabh Bachchan was the first Bollywood celebrity whose statue was unveiled at the Madame Tussaud’s London. The wax figurine keeps rotating, getting displayed at the various museum all over the globe. While Amitabh was the first Bollywood celebrity to get a wax statue, his daughter-in-law, Aishwarya was the first actress to get a wax statue at the museum and the number of Bollywood stars that now have a wax statue has gradually increased. The likes of Hrithik Roshan, Anil Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Madhuri Dixit are among them

Adding to this growing list is Varun Dhawan. The rising star of Bollywood will soon have a wax statue of his unveiled at the Madame Tussaud’s Hong Kong. Varun, who is shooting for a movie in Delhi, gave measurements for the statue, reportedly more than 200 of them were taken to make sure that the wax figure resembles Varun as much as possible. The actor is very excited about it and was quoted saying “It was a great experience. I am so excited to get my wax figure in Hong Kong."

He thanked the museum through this tweet

Varun also shared pictures of his measurement being taken for the wax statue.

We do hope the actor’s excitement isn’t dampened by the outcome. We can still not forget the awful Ranveer Singh wax statue that was revealed at the Grevin Museum Paris and the funny comments it attracted. The statue didn’t bear any resemblances to Ranveer and many made fun of it on social media, pointing out how the statue looked more like Shamak Davar among other jokes.

  • 2017 might have been a bad year for Bollywood, considering the bad movies, and the scarce Box Office collections that the movies made. Also, the controversies surrounding the movies this year, did them more harm than good. But, there are still a few movies from 2017, that we would watch again someday.
  • We have all heard struggle stories of our favourite celebrities, some have been waiters, and some might have been junior artists. But, too many have been backup dancers. From a field that has potentially more than a million people in it, these stars shone so brightly, that they became the cream of Bollywood. These stars started their journey with dancing behind superstars and are now working with them.
  • Bollywood is filled with people, who excel at acting. But other than acting and the storyline, there is another thing that makes our films blockbusters. Dancing! Bollywood movies are filled with dancers. Some dance like they have two left feet, but some, dance like there is no tomorrow. These are the dancers, we are paying a tribute to today.
  • Madame Tussauds is a gem in the age of modern museums, and the capital has become the lucky holder of this gem. Delhiites have become a part of the lucky few, who can now visit these lifelike celebrity wax statues. But, our favourite part is the amazing resemblance, and in some cases the disparity, of these wax figurines.
  • You fall in love and vow to spend the rest of your life with each other. Such is the beauty of a marriage. The end, however, is not always as beautiful. Blame it on fame, gorgeous looks or the fact that cupid's arrows strike again and again in the glamour world, but Bollywood couples have to face the ugly truth of infidelity, divorces, and break-ups ever so often.
  • In Bollywood, there was a time, when supporting actors did not receive the appreciation they do now. They were looked at as mere pawns to make the lead look good. But times have changed, and talented artists have taken these so called side roles, and evolved them into the backbone of the films. They are now taking the limelight, and sometimes even overshadow the leads.
