‘Rustom’ and ‘Mohenjo Daro’ clashed at the box office yesterday on 12th August, 2016. There was a great anticipation for these two films amongst the cinegoers. One was a suspense biopic while the other one was an epic historical drama. Both the films had been pittied against eachother since the announcement of their release dates. While ‘Rustom’ saw a flood of support from the industry people, team of ‘Mohenjo Daro’ did not leave a stone unturned in promoting their film.
Yestyerday, Akshay Kumar’s wife, Twinkle Khanna, took to twitter and wished Hrithik Roshan for his film, ‘Mohenjo Daro’. It was a very thoughtful move from Mrs Funnybones as her husband’s film too was releasing the same day. Hrithik also responded in a fun manner, obviously acknowledging the sweet gesture.
Rustom Movie Review: Akshay Kumar’s ‘Rustom’ will keep you hooked throughout
Twinkle Khanna wishes Hrithik for his film in this sweetest tweet.
And Hrithik responds in the best manner! ‘Rustom’ or ‘Mohenjo Daro’, which ever film does well, he wants to party!
Many times in the past two big films have clashed at the box office, which has seen the industry divided in its opinion. Some support one and some support the other. But never before have we seen Bollywood coming together in support of one film and completely ignoring the other. From Arjun Kapoor to Ranveer Singh to Karan Johar, everyone supported ‘Rustom’ in their own ways – tweets, videos, pictures etc. Keeping in mind all that, it was a great gesture from Twinkle Khanna’s side to have wished Hrithik and his film.
Mohenjo Daro Movie Review: Kudos to ‘Mohenjo Daro’ team for pulling off such a spectacular feat and making it a compelling watch!
Hrithik Roshan’s last big film was ‘Bang Bang’ in 2014. Next he will be seen in Sanjay Gupta’s ‘Kaabil’.
Twinkle Khanna, on the other hand is a successful interior designer and is happy producing films and writing for newspaper columns. She has even written a book called Mrs Funnybones.
Both the films – ‘Rustom’ and ‘Mohenjo Daro’ are getting lukewarm responses from the audiences and critics alike. It is too early to decide which film fared better at the box office but we wish both the films all the luck.
