Taapsee Pannu’s Naam Shabana rakes-in an average box office collection!

Taapsee Pannu’s Naam Shabana rakes-in an average box office collection!

Last week’s mega release, Naam Shabana had high hopes from Taapsee Pannu playing the under-cover agent, Shabana Khan. But, the movie is seen minting a slow growth at the box office as of now. Naam Shabana is a spin-off Baby (2015) directed by Neeraj Pandey, which had Akshay Kumar in the lead role. The prequel clearly is not able to make a mark at the box office, but the viewers really liked Taapsee Pannu as a woman-centric character.

Naam Shabana has now entered into the second week and it has collected Rs. 32.55 so far. Have a look at the box office collection of this spy thriller film so far:

Friday (31st March) – Rs. 5.12 cr

Saturday (1st April) – Rs. 6.37 cr

Sunday (2nd April) – Rs. 7.27 cr

Monday (3rd April) – Rs. 2.54 cr

Tuesday (4th April) – Rs. 2.50 cr

Wednesday (5th April) – Rs. 1.80 cr

Thursday (6th April) – Rs. 1.58 cr

Friday (7th April) – Rs. 1.07 cr

Saturday (8th April) – Rs. 1.88 cr

Sunday (9th April) – Rs. 2.42 cr

Total box-office collection – Rs. 32.55 cr

As you could see above, Naam Shabana had to fight a lot during the weekdays, but the biz grew over the weekend. Let’s wait and watch for the upcoming grossing. Starring Taapsee Pannu in the lead role followed by value-enhancing cameo by Akshay Kumar, Manoj Bajpayee and Prithviraj Sukumaran, Naam Shabana is a worth watch for all those who underestimate woman and their abilities. The producer, Neeraj Pandey said, "We don't want to mislead the audience in believing that everyone is part of the film and it's on the lines of Baby. It's based on her (Taapsee) character it's a spin-off. She leads the cast."

Yes of course, we loved Taapsee Pannu in the film and would love to see more of her in the coming days. On the work front, Taapsee will be seen opposite Varun Dhawan in their upcoming rom-com  ‘Judwaa 2’ which is a sequel to Judwaa starring Salman Khan in the lead role. Directed by David Dhawan, Judwaa 2 will release on 29th September, 2017. Are you excited for this next-up project?
