Sara Ali Khan refuses to work with Anushka Sharma

Sara Ali Khan has been quite busy with her debut film, opposite Sushant Singh Rajput. The actress had put her all in even before the film started commencement. But, it didn’t even take her first film’s release, to get her another role in the industry. She has been offered a substantial role in another film, and has also said no it already. With not a lot of experience in the industry, it seems a little odd that Sara would turn down opportunities.

A report in a tabloid stated that Sara was offered a role helmed by Anushka Sharma’s production house, Clean Slate Films.

A source was quoted as saying, “The project will be a social drama. When Anushka, Karnesh, Prernaa Arora and Arjun N Kapoor [of KriArj] were scouting for a female lead, they zeroed in on Sara. Prernaa and Arjun have worked with her in Kedarnath [co-producers] and they like her dedication. When they narrated the script to Sara, she loved it.”

Sara, however, still refused the role. But, she has a good enough reason for it.

Kedarnath was slated to release in June of 2018, but, the film got extended to December same year. Gattu (Kedarnath's director) and Prerna (who is also producing Kedarnath in association with Ekta Kapoor) felt that Sara should concentrate preferably only on Kedarnath till it hits theatres. Consequently, Sara opted out, excusing herself from the film on the same grounds.

Anushka, however, has taken it all in a professional capacity, and there is nothing wrong between the two actresses.

  • 2017 might have been a bad year for Bollywood, considering the bad movies, and the scarce Box Office collections that the movies made.
