Hit or Flop? ADHM is Ranbir’s second Diwali release after Saawariya

Ranbir Kapoor has seen many highs and lows in his film career. His debut movie which was released on Diwali in the year 2007, garnered him much stardom and he became the heartthrob of the entire nation. Let’s have a look at Ranbir’s Saawariya and ADHM together:

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Saawariya’ and Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil

Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Saawariya became famous even before it released. Saawariya was Ranbir’s debut movie in bollywood. And, to our disappointment, Saawariya turned out to be a huge flop and received a lot of criticism. ADHM directed by Karan Johar is a love triangle and Ranbir here will be seen as a singer and a lover both. The story looks promising and we have high hopes from him this time. What do you think?

Controversial Scenes in ADHM and Saawariya

His controversial towel dance to the song ‘Jab Se Tere Naina’ became an instant hit among the women. Saawariya bagged much fame to Ranbir mainly because of this song. In ADHM, Ranbir will be seen romancing Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and they share sizzling hot chemistry in an intimate scene. The intimacy of the stars has raised many eyebrows and has been in much hyped controversy. Interesting…isn’t it??

From Chocolate Boy to Rugged Look

Back in 2007, when RK started out with the cute boy-next-door look in his movie Saawariya and he pulled it off quite well (he looked mesmerizing though). Gradually, in time, his look evolved to being more rugged and manly in movie ADHM. And, in the last few years, we have seen him making quite fashion statements at various events and movies.

Leading Ladies against Ranbir

Talking about his leading ladies in the movie, directed by Karan Johar, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil stars the two most gorgeous ladies of Bollywood which are Aishwarya and Anushka. The star cast looks promising. While, in Saawariya Ranbir was seen opposite Sonam Kapoor, which also the debut movie of Sonam kapoor.

Saawariya we would say was not the perfect launchpad for Ranbir. Though the movie did not do well at the box office, but it earned Ranbir the Filmfare Best Male Debut in 2007.

Coming to his upcoming movie, if we go by the trailer of ADHM, we believe that Ranbir will give an outstanding performance in the film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and unlike Saawariya this will be a sure shot hit at the box office. Keeping in mind Ranbir’s looks and performance Ae Dil Hai Mushkil will prove to be win-win movie for his career. We give all the brownie points to him for his flattering performance as seen in the trailer.

Let’s wait for the release of the movie and watch how successful this Diwali turns out to be for Ranbir Kapoor. What do you think about the success of the movie?? Let us know in the comments section below!
