‘Santa Banta Pvt Ltd’ as a movie is itself a ‘POOR JOKE’

‘Santa Banta Pvt Ltd’as a movie is itself a ‘Poor Joke’

Story

‘Santa Banta Pvt Ltd’ is a movie with bulk of slapstick. The movie comprises of two best friends Santeshwar Singh aka Santa (Boman Irani) and Banteshwar Singh aka Banta (Vir Das). Both of the characters are misunderstood to be ‘Raw Secret Agents’ in the movie and are sent to Fiji for a secretive mission. The secret mission is to rescue the Indian high commissioner Shankar (Ayyub Khan) who has been kidnapped. But the mission backfires due to the incompetent fake agents. In Fiji, Santa and Banta meets High commissioner Shankar’s wife, Kareena Roy (Neha Dhupia) . They reach Fiji and meets Commissioner’s wife and his friend for their so called ‘INVESTIGATION’. Simultaneously, Johnny lever playing the role of Nepal’s no. 1 Don goes to hunt both Santa, Banta. Kareena Roy assures that her husband is not being kidnapped rather he is hiding on his own. Sonu Sultan (Vijay Raaz) discovers the truth about Santa and Banta and engages his henchmen to bump them off. Will the duo be able to solve Shankar’s mystery? Will Santa Banta without being qualified, be able to solve the case? Have guts, and find out.

Thumbs Up Moments

We tried finding out any of the positive side of the movie, but we feel distressed to say that we could not find any upper hand point for the movie. This calls for one word ‘FLOP’.

Thumbs Down Moments

It feels that the whole movie is meant for this section only. Embarrassing comedy, meaningless jokes this is all there in the movie. This movie has endless PJs in it. Santa and Banta is the movie with not at all comedy script and that spoil the movie to the core. Actor Vir Das is not new to such a quirky script where as Boman Irani, who is known for his comic sense, as a duo couldn’t make it due to unintelligible dialogues and humour. If we need to call ‘Santa Banta Pvt Ltd’ with some other title then ‘Thumps Down’ is the best title for it. We heartily apologise for the collection of the movie in Box Office.

Verdict

Piteous comedy and embarrassing script this is all we can say about ‘Santa Banta Pvt Ltd’. The movie is a ‘waste’ to time and money. The script of the movie does not stand at any level in the Bollywood. It seems that this movie just kills the real meaning of the word ‘Comedy’. Music seems to be without any harmony. It is immensely difficult to find any point in the movie which could take the movie towards respectful verdict. This calls for one word ‘FLOP’. Do not watch it! Because it is not worth it!
