Laali Ki Shaadi Mein Laaddoo Deewana: A never ending tiresome wedding!

You can obviously opt not to watch a film with a never ending baraat scene…right?!

Directed by Manish Harishankar, Laali Ki Shaadi Mein Laaddoo Deewana is a wedding chaos followed by lots of laughter. It’s a comedy adventure film featuring Akshara Haasan as Laali, Vivaan Shah as Laddoo, Gurmeet Choudhary as Veer and Saurabh Shukla as Laali’s father. Laali is a bold and gutsy girl from Vadodara, who falls in love with Laaddo and gets pregnant. But Laddoo isn’t looking for a responsibility of that nature and abandons her. They part ways and now Laddu’s parents disown him and accept Laali and her baby. They find Laali a suitable match in Veer (Gurmeet Choudhary) who is a royal prince. Meanwhile Laddoo is repenting his act and wants to get back in Laali’s life. Whom she will now marry will be revealed at the end of the movie and it’s pretty much interesting.

Writer-director Manish Harishankar, who has made his first business (non-profitable though) venture with this film, fails to leave a remarkable impression on the audiences. The director has tried to present the story in a fancy way but has somehow failed in his job. The characters are poorly sketched and the comic scenes won’t make you laugh. Vivaan Shah’s role is extremely confusing, while Akshara Haasan and Gurmeet Choudhary have executed their roles poorly. The picturesque locations and the screenplay leave no impact. The music of the movie is unimpressive and you’ll be mortified with each and every track. With poor storytelling and intolerable second half it becomes difficult to sit through this 2 hours 10 minutes movie.

On the whole, it’s a lengthy boring shaadi which never ends and leaves you disappointed. We would never recommend attending such a confusing and a tiresome shaadi. Sit at home and enjoy your weekend with family!

  • In Bollywood, there was a time, when supporting actors did not receive the appreciation they do now. They were looked at as mere pawns to make the lead look good. But times have changed, and talented artists have taken these so called side roles, and evolved them into the backbone of the films. They are now taking the limelight, and sometimes even overshadow the leads.
  • Unlike popular belief, there have been a large number of celebrities who broke the ‘Career is finished after marriage’ taboo and came out shining like true stars only after they got married. Some turned out to be the major superstars of the country, whereas some struggled to leave an impact on the industry, but the one thing that all of them have in common is that they were married before they set their foot on the silver screen.
  • Whenever a celebrity does something whether good or bad, extraordinary or mundane, the news always manages to make its way to the headlines. The frenzy around Indian celebrities who became politicians is therefore justified. And when the theme is women-centric, it’s even better.
  • We all know actors who are also singers seem to be the latest trend in B-town. And you must be aware there are quite a few of them, but we have news for you! First, this trend is not new-found and secondly there are many celebrities who possess this talent. Shocked aren’t you?
  • Having a legal notice attached to one’s image is not good for any individual, but when you are a star, it is even worse, as every star has a brand name to maintain and landing up in trouble due to such unforeseen circumstances is nothing short of a controversy! Here is a list of top Bollywood stars who went to jail.
