A suspense thriller, Gupt introduced Kajal as a mainstream actress who could excel at negative roles as well. Her convincing depiction of Isha Diwan marked Kajol as truly a really good and powerful actress. So much so, that Kajol bagged the Filmfare Awards for best villain that year.

 

Dushman (1998)

My Name Is Khan broke all the box office records and became top grossing movies of Bollywood when it released. Kajol starred in the film as San Francisco-based hair dresser Mandira who falls in love with a man who suffers from Asperger’s Syndrome. She won the Filmfare Award for Best Actress for the same.
