‘Kahaani 2’ goes on shooting floors!

‘Kahaani’ starring Vidya Balan, became one of the most loved films in 2012, and since then viewers have been wishing for a sequel. Hence, Sujoy Ghosh’s announcement left us all elated with excitement! In an interview, he was quoted as saying “Yes, Kahaani 2 is happening. It is in pre-production stage. Vidya Balan will star in the film. Major parts of the film will be shot in Kolkata.”

Another interesting detail for the sequel is that Arjun Rampal will be seen opposite Vidya Balan. Arjun will be seen sharing screen space with Vidya Balan for the first time and this adds up the curiosity even more.

We must say that the film-makers’ trend of using unusual on-screen pairing is increasing day by day. But the movie might not see the entertaining star, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and is expected to have Jugal Hansraj on board.

The suspense, tight story line and fabulous performances left the audiences thirsty for more. The movie also received critical acclaim and several awards including National Film Awards and five Filmfare Awards.

Now, the much awaited sequel, ‘Kahaani 2’, has finally gone on floors with Vidya Balan and Arjun Rampal in the leading roles.

The sequel is also set in the backdrop of a village named Kalimpong in West Bengal, and is speculated to have the same aura. The release date of the film is not yet announced.
