Golmaal Again delivers on the promise it made to make you laugh!

Story:

Golmaal Again is yet another fun filled ride about two gangs who are unable to stand each other since their childhood and how they repulse each other even after they grow up. Gopal (Ajay Devgn), Madhav (Arshad Warsi), Lucky (Tusshar Kapoor), Laxman Prasad (Shreyas Talpade) and Laxman (Kunal Khemu) move back to their old neighbourhood in a new, palatial house. What they don't know is that the house is haunted by a ghost, and later when they come to know about it, they become terrified.

Review:

With sets as theatrical as could be, Golmaal Again is different from its previous installment. The movie is a breath of fresh air in the horror-comedy genre in Bollywood. The last one we saw in this genre was Great Grand Masti, and we do not need to remind you of how that went by. The movie, however, does not try hard to be something it’s not, and stays true to the brand image.

With the signature Golmaal characters, it keeps the essence of its old self alive, and still manages to give you a new perspective with the different storyline and a couple new entrants like Parineeti, and Tabu.

Acting is a passed over attribute for a movie like Golmaal Again. That does not mean that the actors did a bad job. The movie sails through nicely, and seamlessly. Tabu and Parineeti compliment the old timers of the Golmaal franchise perfectly.

Nana Patekar’s voiceover for the ghost is amazing in the sense that it adds to the hilarity of the situation.

Golmaal might not be a piece of cinematic brilliance, but it sure is something you should go to the theatres this week for.

  • 2017 might have been a bad year for Bollywood, considering the bad movies, and the scarce Box Office collections that the movies made. Also, the controversies surrounding the movies this year, did them more harm than good. But, there are still a few movies from 2017, that we would watch again someday.
  • We have all heard struggle stories of our favourite celebrities, some have been waiters, and some might have been junior artists. But, too many have been backup dancers. From a field that has potentially more than a million people in it, these stars shone so brightly, that they became the cream of Bollywood. These stars started their journey with dancing behind superstars and are now working with them.
  • Bollywood is filled with people, who excel at acting. But other than acting and the storyline, there is another thing that makes our films blockbusters. Dancing! Bollywood movies are filled with dancers. Some dance like they have two left feet, but some, dance like there is no tomorrow. These are the dancers, we are paying a tribute to today.
  • Madame Tussauds is a gem in the age of modern museums, and the capital has become the lucky holder of this gem. Delhiites have become a part of the lucky few, who can now visit these lifelike celebrity wax statues. But, our favourite part is the amazing resemblance, and in some cases the disparity, of these wax figurines.
  • You fall in love and vow to spend the rest of your life with each other. Such is the beauty of a marriage. The end, however, is not always as beautiful. Blame it on fame, gorgeous looks or the fact that cupid's arrows strike again and again in the glamour world, but Bollywood couples have to face the ugly truth of infidelity, divorces, and break-ups ever so often.
  • In Bollywood, there was a time, when supporting actors did not receive the appreciation they do now. They were looked at as mere pawns to make the lead look good. But times have changed, and talented artists have taken these so called side roles, and evolved them into the backbone of the films. They are now taking the limelight, and sometimes even overshadow the leads.
