Deepika says her relationships are complicated!

Deepika Padukone is one of the greatest actresses of our time. She is honest, be it her performances or her depression, and now her view towards relationships. The actress is not scared of accepting the harsh truth in life, and once you hear her out, you will know it too.

Deepika Padukone was present at the launch of Hema Malini’s autobiography ‘Beyond The Dream Girl’ written by Ram Kamal Mukherjee. She opened up in an utter honest way. She said, “While some of my relationships have become stronger over a period of time, I also see some of my friends who have distanced themselves. But I and some of my school friends have become much closer than before because we all make the effort to stay in touch and stay connected. However, a lot of people could not handle the success that came my way and they disconnected. I am not upset about it. That’s just the way life goes.”

She then added, “As far as romantic relationships are concerned (smiles), they are complicated because it’s difficult to find someone who understands your success, your passion for what you do and also that you earn money than them.”

We wonder if Ranbir was one of these people Deepika was talking about.

On the film front, Deepika Padukone will be seen with her rumoured boyfriend Ranveer Singh, who is thankfully as successful as her, in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s period drama Padmavati. It also stars Shahid Kapoor and releases on December 1.

  • In Bollywood, there was a time, when supporting actors did not receive the appreciation they do now. They were looked at as mere pawns to make the lead look good. But times have changed, and talented artists have taken these so called side roles, and evolved them into the backbone of the films. They are now taking the limelight, and sometimes even overshadow the leads.
