Arpita’s Diwali bash and the celebrations that unfolded! See pictures

Arpita Khan Sharma is Salman Khan’s sister. A sister that is so dear to Salman that he is currently planning on launching her husband through his label. Well, that is not what this news is about. This is about the hip bash, that Arpita Khan threw pre-Diwali at her residence in Mumbai. While Arpita glittered in silver, all of Bollywood gathered at her door to take part in the festivities.

Celebrities from all over town came through for the bash. Katrina was the belle of the ball in her lavish red lehenga and a heavy diamond necklace. Shilpa wore a white lehenga and big blue earrings, complemented by a big smile on her face. Karan wore an embroidered achkan while Shahrukh looked handsome in his simple black, satin kurta pajama.

Karan looked amazing in this piece, and the new father’s style has to be saluted.

The bash was surely the perfect kick starter to the festivities.

You know Diwali is here when Bollywood begins throwing lavish bashes every other night, and this time, the festival was kicked off by Arpita Khan on Friday in Mumbai.

  • 2017 might have been a bad year for Bollywood, considering the bad movies, and the scarce Box Office collections that the movies made. Also, the controversies surrounding the movies this year, did them more harm than good. But, there are still a few movies from 2017, that we would watch again someday.
  • We have all heard struggle stories of our favourite celebrities, some have been waiters, and some might have been junior artists. But, too many have been backup dancers. From a field that has potentially more than a million people in it, these stars shone so brightly, that they became the cream of Bollywood. These stars started their journey with dancing behind superstars and are now working with them.
  • Bollywood is filled with people, who excel at acting. But other than acting and the storyline, there is another thing that makes our films blockbusters. Dancing! Bollywood movies are filled with dancers. Some dance like they have two left feet, but some, dance like there is no tomorrow. These are the dancers, we are paying a tribute to today.
  • Madame Tussauds is a gem in the age of modern museums, and the capital has become the lucky holder of this gem. Delhiites have become a part of the lucky few, who can now visit these lifelike celebrity wax statues. But, our favourite part is the amazing resemblance, and in some cases the disparity, of these wax figurines.
  • You fall in love and vow to spend the rest of your life with each other. Such is the beauty of a marriage. The end, however, is not always as beautiful. Blame it on fame, gorgeous looks or the fact that cupid's arrows strike again and again in the glamour world, but Bollywood couples have to face the ugly truth of infidelity, divorces, and break-ups ever so often.
  • In Bollywood, there was a time, when supporting actors did not receive the appreciation they do now. They were looked at as mere pawns to make the lead look good. But times have changed, and talented artists have taken these so called side roles, and evolved them into the backbone of the films. They are now taking the limelight, and sometimes even overshadow the leads.
  • Tumhari Sulu will make you love the simple pleasures
  • Neither erotica nor a thriller, Aksar 2 drags on
  • The House Next Door will give you the creeps
  • Qarib Qarib perfect
  • Rajkummar Rao aur Kriti Kharbanda ki shaadi mein mat jaana!
  • By Ittefaq Sidharth and Sonakshi both look constipated!
